THE KAYAK PAVILION

The Little Econ River was originally intervened by man when a dam was constructed in order to connect both sides. The dam caused a collection of water to occur that created for the river to expand outwards destroying native marshes. 

When intervening onto this site, it was important to register the structures and movements created by nature. By constructing a path that runs parallel to the expansion of the river, new wetlands can begin to develop near the waters edge. It is important that the human scale interacts with nature in order to learn the importance that these marshes have for the ecosystem
